So where are we 3 months later…
The Gambrel barn is down, and one in Olena, Indiana is as well. My family is involved now and we have a list of barns that need to be reclaimed. Reclaimed in exchanged for the reclaimed lumber. Talk about one man’s trash being another man’s treasure. Once the marketing started the phone calls, emails, text messages, and orders started to roll in to us. Orders from the coast of California to the state of New Jersey created such an excitement as we were now selling nationally. Literally in a few months our dreams were becoming real. So what did we do? We created more dreams. Because the more dreams you have the more dreams that will come true.
We are reclaiming barns, selling reclaimed lumber, building furniture, and marketing all of it in as many spaces as possible. But more importantly, we are reaching for our dreams, and we are creating new dreams every day. We are thrilled to wake up each day. We are laughing and smiling. This is an adventure that has been waiting for us, and we are taking as many along with us that want to go.
Little did I know that one idea would turn into something I myself only could imagine? Not only a Reclaimed Barns and Beams business, but the ability to help others make their dreams come true. Friends, family, acquaintances, social media encounters, have all come together to reclaim pieces of history and pass that history forward.
