America's heritage has stood in the fields and beside farm houses for over a century in the form of barns. Historic barns are becoming more difficult to find, and due to the increase in comercially zoned land are being destroyed. Reclaimed Barns & Beams reclaims the wood from these hand hewed, pinned barns that have stood the tests of time. It is our hope that we can transform this wood into vintage farm tables, chairs, ceiling beams, mantles and more. This will give us a chance to keep the history of these barns alive and with us for years to come.

It can be a crowbar, a hammer, or a chainsaw in my hand. I love the work. There is something exciting to me about being in these old barns. You never know what you will find or what someone else will create from what I find. The work is hard, tiring, and so very dirty, but I just love doing it.

Reclaimed Barns & Beams provides lumber to those who create using historic wood that has a story.

What a week... never dreamed...

This week has been really motivating and inspiring. We have 1,486 likes on our Facebook page. WOW. I never dreamed. Please keep sharing and liking us. It is wonderful to get the messages about barns you see, stories that you are sharing with us, and the interest that we are getting. I love the stories about the barns and getting to know each of you. Many are telling me about projects, finding reclaimed lumber that you have needed, or letting others know about us. Thank you all.
I have looked at 5 additional barns and set up a timeline to start deconstructing them. After our truck and trailer were damaged in an accident two amazing people donated a truck and trailer for us to use. Thank you Pam Short and Chuck Dalmer. Your support is just so incredible. I met with Sherwood Mission in Indy to discuss a partnership idea that I am so excited about. We have shipped more reclaimed lumber across the country to complete pieces that others are creating. Our shop is coming around and I started our Indiegogo Campaign.…/reclaimed-barns-and…/x/12982156…

Sponsor the reclaiming of a barn.

There are a lot of expenses that go into each barn's deconstruction. The barns are donated to us, but I have to pay people to help with the removal of the barn and for the equipment to remove them. I rent forklifts/boom trucks- $550./day. We need to haul several loads due to our small trailers. We need air compressors to run tools.  We have such a large overhead at this point. To support this, we are looking for sponsors.

We are hoping to purchase equipment so that we can take down more barns. We have missed out on several barns due to our limited capacity. Please share our link if you will.

Thank you for your thoughts and support!
